What counts as a no-KYC VPS?

A no-KYC ("know your customer") VPS is a virtual server you can order without uploading an ID, passport, selfie, or proof of address. On this list, only providers scored at KYC level 0 or 1 qualify: level 0 means the terms of service explicitly promise identity checks will never be requested, and level 1 means the provider's documentation makes no mention of identity verification at all.

Providers that reserve the right to ask for ID "if required", or whose payment processors can trigger verification mid-order, are scored at level 2 or 3 and are deliberately left out of this list, even if most customers never see a request.

How this list is ranked

Providers are ordered by their overall score: 50% KYC strictness, 30% value for money (price per vCPU and GB of RAM, converted to USD), and 20% reliability from measured support reply times and uptime. Sponsored placements are labeled AD and never change a provider's score. The full formula is on the methodology page.

What to check before you order

A no-KYC signup is only one part of staying private. Check which payment methods are accepted (Monero is more private than Bitcoin), whether the provider publishes a no-logs policy, and which jurisdiction governs your account. Read the quoted KYC excerpt on each provider page: it links directly to the clause it was scored from.

Frequently asked questions

Is it legal to buy a VPS without KYC?

In most countries, yes. Identity verification for hosting is usually a provider policy or payment-processor requirement rather than a legal obligation for customers. Laws differ by jurisdiction, so check the rules that apply to you.

What is the difference between KYC level 0 and level 1?

Level 0 providers explicitly state in their terms that they will never request identity documents. Level 1 providers simply never mention identity verification. Level 0 is a stronger, written commitment.

How often are KYC levels re-checked?

Each provider page shows the date its KYC level was last scored and a public change history. Levels are re-checked when terms change or when readers report a policy change.
