Our verdict

MonoVM is a VPS and RDP host with servers spread across Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and Brazil, which makes it most useful for buyers who care about picking a specific country. On ID checks, its terms are blunt: any refund request starts with KYC verification, and without documents submitted through a ticket the request is rejected. The provider also says it can demand ID whenever upstream providers or legal authorities require it. One of its sales pages claims customers can bypass KYC, which its own terms and abuse policy contradict.

MonoVM accepts Monero alongside Bitcoin, Litecoin, stablecoins and other coins, plus cards, PayPal, bank transfer, Perfect Money and WebMoney. Monero is the option that matters for privacy, but paying in crypto carries a cost: the 7-day money-back guarantee does not cover cryptocurrency payments, crypto refunds only go back as account credit, and existing wallet credit is never refunded. In practice, the private payment route is effectively non-refundable.

MonoVM keeps its product range narrow, offering VPS and RDP plans from very small instances up to mid-sized ones. VPS clients get a custom control panel and can upload their own OS ISO, and every VPS comes with both IPv4 and IPv6. A separate DDoS-protected line advertises always-on mitigation. European traffic is sold as unlimited but is capped by a 12TB monthly fair-use limit. The provider advertises 99.9% network uptime and typical VPS delivery within 30 to 45 minutes.

MonoVM runs a zero-tolerance abuse policy and says it cooperates with law enforcement when legally required. Adult content, casino sites, warez and IRC are banned, and it does not guarantee port 25 will work, so mail servers are a gamble. It also follows OFAC sanctions and refuses business with listed countries, a list it says includes Ukraine.

MonoVM makes sense for someone who wants a cheap Windows desktop or a small Linux box in an unusual location and is willing to pay without expecting a refund. Anyone whose reason for using a no-KYC host is never handing over documents should be wary: the refund process requires ID, the terms allow requests at any time, and the marketing promising otherwise does not match the rules that actually apply. IRC users, mail operators and adult or gambling projects are excluded outright.
